11 August 2004 Lecture Summary (Guest Lecture)

Most of the day was devoted to the end-of-term exam. But before that Julie gave an excellent guest lecture on Kant (mostly on the Copernican Revolution, i.e., the idea that instead of thinking that knowledge depends on objects, we should consider the objects to depend on knowledge; and on the analytic/synthetic, a priori/a posteriori distinctions).

I wish everyone an excellent ending for summer, and good luck in the year to come.
